I started this blog as a way of sharing the inspiring ideas and images that come my way through my work as an interior designer. I’m constantly exposed to new artists, products and spaces that help to shape my perspective, and I’m thrilled to share them with you. Frances Palmer

A long-time favorite of mine is Frances Palmer Pottery. From cups to dishes to gorgeous vases, her work manages to convey a sense of whimsy while maintaining both elegance and refinement. The fact that her items are handmade is evident, and for this reason, it's one of my favorite gifts to give. While I often use her objects to add the perfect finishing touch to my work, I couldn't help but start a collection of my own, and it's definitely one of my most beloved guilty treasures!

Violets and Snapdragons

In a tiny NYC apartment, it's the little things that make your house a home. One treat I allow myself is fresh flowers. I grabbed a bunch of snapdragons from the bodega around the corner for $6. Combined with the violet I bought at the flower market for $3, I made a pretty table arrangement for $9. Not bad! (If I do say so myself!)

Eskayel

These are not your grandmother's wallpaper! How chic are these beautiful prints by Eskayel? I can only imaginge a room decked out in these to be a kind of dreamy watercolor paradise. Eskayel also offers fabrics, pillows and rugs--Be still my heart!

Mantel Accessories

Mantels are the perfect place to display collections of objects. I loved how vintage mirrors provided the perfect backdrop for the collection of silver candlesticks in this image (not to mention the amazing color choices on the woodwork). Resist the urge to overwhelm your mantel with accessories, and bend traditional rules a little by creating asymmetrical arrangements. In this case, less is more, and let the fireplace be the star.
