I started this blog as a way of sharing the inspiring ideas and images that come my way through my work as an interior designer. I’m constantly exposed to new artists, products and spaces that help to shape my perspective, and I’m thrilled to share them with you. You can also sneak a peek at what I'm currently working on by following my Instagram. Thank you for visiting and enjoy!

Tsuneaki Hiramatsu

Talk about magic! These photos have already gone viral on the blogosphere, but I couldn't resist sharing in case you haven't seen them. Tsuneaki Hiramatsu's images are long-exposure photographs taken of fireflies at night. While fireflies' bioluminescence has always been a point of fascination for me, Tsuneaki Hiramatsu captures the dream-like scenes created by this enchanting little bug with his artful compositions. I'm dying to add some magic to my walls with one of his beautiful images.

I'm Dreaming of a...Hammer Screwdriver Combination Tool!?

It's true! Some girls dream of diamonds, but I found myself lusting after this beautifully designed four-in-one hammer screwdriver combo from Schoolhouse Electric & Supply Co. It's perfect for a DIY gal like myself, and I thought it would also make a great Father's Day gift.

Herriott Grace

For me, everything feels a little easier in the summer. When you have friends over, you can be outdoors, grill, and use nature as your backdrop. Herriott Grace is a father daughter duo who make the beautiful hand carved and hand turned objects seen in these photos (all photos from Herriott Grace). The rusticity and natural elegance of their objects make beautiful presentation look easy and perfectly complement a relaxed summer table. Any of these little utilitarian works of art would make beautiful gifts, and they'd definitely be a welcome addition to my table!

Everyday Accessories

Accessorizing can be a difficult challenge, but you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to make your house a home. To avoid the trap of buying a bunch of tchotchkes that scream one-stop-shop,  display items that you use everyday. Bits of string, paintbrushes and beautiful dishes help to fill this shelf. With seasonal fruit and a re-up on my bottle of bourbon, I'm ready to entertain with accessories that I can actually use.
